More info

A set of 5 wrought iron figurines depicting a traditional tribal orchestra from Bastar, in performance. The dexterity with which the postures and fluid movements of the players have been captured, essentially highlights a keen attention to detail, of the artisans. That, they have captured these in iron, renders these 'marvelous objects-d-art'! The fine details of the instruments and the players' attire and accessories adds manifold to their appeal.

Made predominantly from recycled scrap iron, these wrought iron artifacts are seamless, one piece objects. They are moulded into shape from scrap iron made pliable by heating in furnaces, using basic tools such as hammer and tongs. These are manifestations of rustic artisans carrying forth the traditional art practiced in Bastar, for generations. The themes for these artifacts are essentially inspired by nature, whose lap these tribals dwell in.
